Many places have something special, here in Tanzania. Maybe a small detail, maybe something about tradition or about history. We are lucky, because we're one of those places.
Why? Here you are a little story...
While enjoying a freezing cocktail during sunset time in the veranda of one of our rooms, you will see some ruins on the landscape: the Ras Kanzi Lighthouse. The Germans built it more than 100 years ago, during the period of colonialism in Tanzania.
The main tower used to reach the height of 15m, and nowadays it has been replaced with a full automatic solar-driven lighthouse. But the remains of the old structure are still visible and it is possible to organize a walk from the resort to this area.
The land where our resort is located is still unspoiled and offers a unique and relaxing atmosphere, that these old ruins together with the new lighthouse make even more magical.
